Lead the Marine Operations of a Flagship LNG Project
Easy Skill is recruiting a Marine Superintendent to lead the tug, workboat and barge operations supporting a major LNG development in Papua Recent Guinea. Our client, an international project logistics contractor, is mobilising a river fleet to deliver project cargo to the construction site and needs a senior marine professional to run it at fleet level and to stand as its marine interface with the operator. This is a key leadership position, and we are actively recruiting for it now.
Your role
You take fleet-level responsibility for marine operations: voyage planning, transit windows, fleet scheduling and berth coordination on river and shallow-water routes. You own vessel assurance for the fleet, from OVID and OCIMF inspections to audits and the enforcement of marine HSE standards, and you lead incident investigation and emergency response whenever marine operations require it. You represent the contractor in front of the operator's marine organisation, so your credibility, your judgement and your ability to hold a standard under pressure are what make the difference.
What you bring
- A background as Master or Chief Engineer, with a valid or recently lapsed Certificate of Competency and at least 15 years of total marine experience.
- Fleet-level marine operations management for an oil and gas client: voyage planning, transit windows, fleet scheduling.
- Vessel assurance competence: OVID / OCIMF inspections,
audits, enforcement of marine HSE standards.
- Direct client-interface experience with an operator; familiarity with the marine systems of a major LNG operator is a strong advantage.
- Proven leadership in incident investigation and emergency response on marine operations.
Previous experience with a major LNG operator, on oil and gas or LNG marine and project-cargo operations, or in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific will place you at the top of our shortlist. What we offer
