Short-Term Project Opportunity – Field Interviewers

Square Holes, a well-respected South Australian market research company with over 20 years’ experience working with government and other leading organisations, is seeking enthusiastic Field Interviewers for short-term projects in October 2026. The work will run for approximately 2–3 weeks and involves face-to-face interviews in shopping centres and public buildings. There are two core projects – one based in Darwin and one in Alice Springs Candidates don’t need to be available for both, though this would be an advantage.

This is interesting, meaningful work that isn’t overly complex, suited to reliable and confident communicators who enjoy engaging with people and working independently. For the right candidates, this may also open the door to future opportunities, including remote work.

What We’re Looking For

- Solid communication skills – professional, clear, and fluent English expression.




- Driver’s licence and access to a car – travel between multiple locations required (mileage allowance provided).
- Tech-savvy with tablets – comfortable using iPads or similar for electronic surveying.
- Having your own tablet with 4G connection is an advantage (not essential).
- Confident in approaching and engaging people in public.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and well-presented, with a professional manner.
- Based in Darwin and Alice Springs or surrounding areas.
- Previous market research experience (e.g. ABS or research agency) is highly regarded, though similar experience in customer-facing roles will also be valued.
