We’re looking for a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Swan Materials and play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our plant and equipment.

This is a hands-on role with a broad range of responsibilities across mechanical maintenance, planned and unplanned maintenance, safety and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Operations and Site Management to identify issues, solve problems and ensure the site continues to perform at its best.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Carry out pre-start inspections in accordance with preventative maintenance checklists.
- Complete all maintenance work to required quality, safety and engineering standards.
- Complete maintenance documentation and records accurately and within required timeframes.
- Report equipment defects, faults and maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with the Production team to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise disruption to operations.
- Complete Take 5s, Job Safety Analyses (JHAs), pre-start inspections and other risk assessments as required.
- Ensure hazards, near misses, incidents and injuries are promptly reported through the Cintellate system.
- Comply with site-specific Principal Mining Hazards (where applicable), Life Saving Standards and other critical risk controls.
- Carry out scheduled inspections, servicing and repairs on plant, equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose equipment faults and complete corrective maintenance to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise unplanned downtime.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with operational teams to ensure plant availability and minimise production interruptions.

What You'll Bring

- Recognised Trade Certificate, or Certificate III in Engineering—Mechanical Trade, or Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, Welding Certification Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boiler Maker, or similar trades.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Experience with interpretation of engineering drawings and schematics.




- Previous Fitting experience, preferably in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with hydraulics, compressors, pressure vessels, valves, conveyors, screens, crushers and quality assurance processes.
- Mechanical fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Plant shutdown and breakdown maintenance.
- Ability to undertake manual labour and heavy lifting tasks.

Desirable Experience

- Current accreditation for forklift, elevated work platform, confined space and working at heights.
- Current first aid certificate.
- Riggers & Dogman Ticket.
