About the role

Experience & Qualifications

- Demonstrated supervisory experience on utility-scale solar farm construction projects.

- Direct NEXTracker / NextPower tracker installation experience is essential; NX Horizon / NX Horizon-XTR experience is highly preferred.

- Solid practical knowledge of high-volume tracker assembly, alignment and torque-controlled installation.

- Proven ability to lead multiple crews and maintain productivity, quality and safety across parallel work fronts.

- Ability to read and work from IFC drawings, construction plans, OEM manuals and installation checklists.

- Experience with QA/QC inspections, ITPs, hold points, punch lists and installation records.

- Australian Construction White Card and current driver's licence.

- Relevant mechanical trade, construction or engineering qualification is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily tracker mechanical installation activities, crew allocation and work fronts.

- Coordinate material distribution, pre-assembly and installation sequencing to maintain continuous workflow and minimise double handling.





- Ensure installation is completed in accordance with IFC drawings, approved work methods, ITPs and OEM installation requirements.

- Supervise installation of tracker structural and mechanical components including BHA assemblies, torque tubes, slew drives, motors, dampers and module rails.

- Monitor daily productivity, labour and equipment utilisation against programme targets and report progress to site management.

- Ensure calibrated tooling, torque verification, hold points, inspections and QA/QC records are completed as required.

- Identify installation defects, non-conformances and constraints and coordinate timely corrective actions.

- Coordinate interfaces with survey, piling, logistics, QA/QC, HSE, electrical and PV module installation teams.

- Lead pre-starts and reinforce safe work practices, housekeeping and disciplined execution across all crews.

- Support punch-list closeout, mechanical completion and handover readiness.
