What you'll be doing As a Medical Radiation Scientist, you’ll use your clinical knowledge and technical skills to provide safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging while delivering compassionate, person-centred care. Key responsibilities will be to:
- Perform a diverse range of radiographic examinations, including general, trauma, mobile, operating theatre, dental and fluoroscopy.
- Deliver accurate,
timely imaging while maintaining professional standards, radiation safety and patient identification requirements.
- Explain procedures clearly, reassure patients and adapt your approach to their individual physical and emotional needs.
- Work collaboratively with radiographers, medical, nursing and other multidisciplinary teams to support effective patient care.
- Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster and on-call arrangements as required, while contributing to service quality, safety and improvement.

Essential Requirements:
- Qualification: Degree in or currently completing degree in Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- Registration: Eligible for and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement
- License:
Eligible for or possess NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in general radiography, including but not limited to general and trauma, operating suite, mobile, dental and fluoroscopy
- Experience working in a busy hospital environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions
