About The Role Help aHead Caringbah is an integrated, person centred hub connecting mental health, alcohol and other drugs, physical health and psychosocial supports. Our multidisciplinary team brings clinical, peer, cultural and community expertise together to provide coordinated support that reflects peoples lives, relationships and wellbeing.

As a Mental Health Clinician at Help aHead Caringbah, you will bring specialist mental health expertise to a multidisciplinary team. You will provide focused assessment and evidence based therapeutic support that strengthens the consumers goals and direction. Your specialist input will be integrated around one shared wellbeing plan, so consumers experience support as connected and coherent rather than fragmented.

This position is a full-time fixed term opportunity until the 30 June 2027, with possibility for extension.

Full-time positions have the option to enjoy a monthly RDO. This role may include extended hours as the service operates Monday - Friday, with some extended hours on these days (up to 7pm - two days per week).

Duties

- Deliver consumer focused, brief, goal oriented, evidence based psychological interventions (individual and group).

- Complete mental health (biopsychosocial) assessments and contribute to shared wellbeing and recovery planning as part of the integrated model of care.
- Participate in intake processes to support timely responses to referrals and appropriate matching of support intensity to need.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings/case conferences and coordinated care, adding specialist mental health expertise without restarting care.





- Support family and carer involvement where possible and where the consumer wants this.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, data entry and file management in line with legislative, policy and funding requirements.

Skills & Experience

- Current full AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, Credentialed Mental Health Nurse, or Occupational Therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker.

- Demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and development of intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their family and carers.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services.
- Understanding of the biological, psychological and social underpinnings of mental health
