Position Title: Midwifery Group Practice Midwife

Classification: Clinical Midwife Specialist (JC5)

Salary per hour: $56.61 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: 12-month fixed term contract (parental leave cover) from 21 December 2026 to 20 December 2027 / part-time (56 hours per fortnight)

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028

Role description The Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) midwife will provide and coordinate comprehensive evidenced based care at an advanced level, for an allocated caseload of women utilising primary healthcare principles and advanced problem solving across the childbirth continuum.

The MGP midwife will also provide leadership, planning, coordination, and in addition provide support and mentorship to other staff.



The MGP midwife will be responsible and accountable for the achievement of quality care and monitoring of outcomes for their allocated women.

About you

- Current midwifery registration with APRHA
- FSEP Level 3 practitioner
- Skilled in neonatal resuscitation
- Recent obstetric emergency simulation training
- Current driver's licence
