We are looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

About the role

As a Metal Fabricator with No Limit Group, you will be involved in fabrication and construction-related work, producing quality steel and metal components to project requirements. You'll work alongside our experienced construction and trades teams, contributing to projects across the Canberra region.

Key responsibilities

· Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements

· Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock

· Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines

· Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering





· Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments

· Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

· Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

· Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

· Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

About you

· Demonstrated experience as a Metal Fabricator or in a relevant field (2 years)

· You must hold mandatory industry licenses for work in the ACT (White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness Cards)

· Relevant AQF trade qualification

· Strong fabrication skills

· Ability to read and work from technical drawings

· Good understanding of steel and metal fabrication processes

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· A strong commitment to safety and quality

· Reliable and skilled attitude
