We are seeking a qualified and highly experienced Metal Fabricator to perform a range of engine and mechanical tests, to diagnose, repair, and service as detailed per product warranty guidelines, company policy, or Supervisor/Manager' instructions.

Key Responsibilities

- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for projects
- Select and prepare metal stock




- Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools and machinery
- Bend metal components and pipes using different techniques
- Align components using callipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces
- Inspect and evaluate welds for bead quality, penetration, accuracy, and overall precision.
- Finish fabricated products through cleaning, polishing, filing, and chemical treatment.
- Smooth and refine welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding to meet required quality standards
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Requirements

- AQF Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent or relevant experience
- 2 - 3 years of work experience
- Fabrication skills in Steel, (solid wire) and/or Aluminium Welding, MIG/TIG
- Ability to meet production schedule deadlines and consistently produce high quality workmanship whilst maintaining a safe workplace environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
