We are seeking 3 dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a robust understanding of grounds maintenance practices. You will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of various landscapes, ensuring that our outdoor spaces remain safe, clean, and visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging to maintain neat and healthy landscapes.
- Operate brushcutters and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Apply chemicals using a knapsack sprayer for weed and pest control, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Assist with garden maintenance, including planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while performing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Construction Safety White Card
- Manual Drivers Licence a must (Medium/Rigid Licence an advantage)
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred.
· Basic mechanical knowledge (servicing/maintaining equipment)
- Proficient in using brushcutting equipment and edging tools.
- Knowledge of safe chemical application practices and relevant certifications.
- Strong understanding of garden maintenance techniques.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift equipment as required.
- The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable and able to operate effectively within a team environment.
Pay: $33.00 – $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
