Townsend Communications is seeking experienced Fixed Wireless Technicians to join our growing team on a subcontractor basis.
This role involves completing NBN Fixed Wireless installation, upgrade, modification and assurance work across regional areas. Applicants must be willing and able to work away from home regularly, including overnight and multi-day stays.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- NBN Fixed Wireless installation, upgrade and assurance work
- Regional travel and regular work away from home
- Subcontractor arrangement – this is not an employee position

- Payment made in accordance with agreed subcontractor rates and payment terms
- Travel and accommodation arrangements will be discussed with successful applicants
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous NBN Fixed Wireless or relevant telecommunications experience
- Current ABN
- Appropriate public liability and other required insurance
- Own suitable vehicle, tools and testing equipment
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Working at Heights accreditation
- Ability to complete all required documentation accurately and on time
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Willingness to travel and work away from home
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of workmanship
THE IDEAL CONTRACTOR You will be reliable, safety-focused and capable of managing your assigned workload with minimal supervision. You must communicate professionally with customers, follow all NBN and project requirements, and submit completed job information promptly.
