It’s an exciting time with the business well positioned for growth and seeking a New Product Development & Quality Manager with a food background to join our team. Dynamic 12 month part-time (30hrs/week) contract position in a fast-paced and innovative environment, ideal for those looking to make a significant impact. You would ultimately be responsible for

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Insights

- Collaborate with the marketing team to conduct ongoing market research with customers, children and parents.
- Summarize customer insights to inform ongoing product development.
- Respond to customer queries in relation to current and future product.

Regulatory Compliance

- Maintain and share industry knowledge and developments.
- Ensure compliance to nutritional guidelines, childcare quality standards, and food and safety standards within our menu and with our supply partners.
- Review product labels and specifications to ensure compliance to regulatory and internal standards.

Recent Product Development

- Continuously improving by investigating and identifying trends,



new ingredients, new products or new suppliers suitable to our target market and company purpose and values.
- Project manage the development, implementation, and execution of seasonal main menu changes and relevant special dietary alternatives, along with a new nursery menu.
- In partnership with our preferred suppliers and advisory board, conceptualize new dishes, refining existing offerings, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient rollout while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
- Manage new products through the company NPD stage gate process to ensure accurate and appropriate administration and implementation.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage stock.
- Regularly and clearly report progress.

Quality Assurance

- Review quality control procedures from supply to consumption to secure food safety and customer satisfaction.
- Support staff training on food safety and quality control procedures.
- Oversee supplier quality standards through management of NCRs, regular reviews and auditing.
- Support operations team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Blue Card
- Food Safety and Quality Management Certification
- Experienced in using Foodworks or similar software preferred
- Sound knowledge of FSANZ standards and allergen management
- 5 years experience in food manufacturing, preferably in development or quality control.




- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Prefer tertiary qualifications in nutrition, food science or related discipline.
