Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 1 Occupational Therapist to join the team at Northern Health.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About The Role:

We have opportunities for a passionate Grade 1 Occupational Therapist to join Community Therapy team at Northern Health. This Grade 1 role provides Occupational Therapy services to participants within the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) as well as Home and Community Care- Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). These services provide support and maintenance to people living at home and whose capacity for independent living is at risk, or who are at risk of premature or inappropriate admission to hospital or long-term residential care.

The successful applicant would also have the opportunity to engage in the Northern Health Progressive Neurological Disease Clinic which supports people with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and similar neurological conditions with both medical, nursing and allied health involvement.





The Grade 1 Occupational Therapist will be accountable for providing quality client care through the application of competent clinical skills in assessment, planning and implementation of treatment plans, with an appropriate level of supervision. This role will be based primarily at Bundoora Centre, however the staff member may be required to travel and work across other Northern Health campuses and programs depending on service demand.

The Northern Health Occupational Therapy department is committed to high levels of patient centred care, evidence based practice, regular supervision and support of all staff.

This position is fixed term full time until early June 2028 with a monthly Accrued Day Off.
