Join the Occupational Therapy Senior Acute Team across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, supporting person-centred care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. This is an opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice with supervision, leadership and service improvement.

- Help shape quality, safety and person-centred care across Occupational Therapy services
What you'll be doing As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services while supporting the clinical capability and development of colleagues across the Senior Acute Team.
- Deliver comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention within your scope of practice
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and students,
including onsite and remote supervision as required
- Lead and contribute to quality improvement, service evaluation and person-centred care initiatives
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation
- Provide senior clinical support, education and leadership in a high-turnover setting with competing demands
Further discussion will be required with successful candidates to negotiate work days as we will require 7 day coverage including weekends.

Essential Criteria
- Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapist – general registration
Selection Criteria
- Extensive years of clinical experience in Occupational Therapy in an acute care setting with demonstrated experience to design, implement and evaluate intervention programs
- Ability to work both independently with minimum direct clinical supervision and as a member of a multidisciplinary team including demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills
- Current driver’s license
- Experience in supervision of professional staff and/or senior students
- Commitment to ongoing education / professional development
- Commitment to and experience in Quality Improvement
- Ability to work Saturday or Sunday as required on site or provide distant supervision of Occupational Therapists working on a weekend as part of a senior OT roster
