About The Role

We are currently seeking to engage a QLD based Remote Area Registered Nurse for a 12 month Maximum Term Contract, working 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. This role will be based at our Mount Isa Mine Site, QLD (Country of The Kalkadoon people).

If you are an experienced remote area Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering gold standard care and health promotion to our onsite work force, you will be perfect for the position! The successful candidate will have a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and skills in phlebotomy and immunisations would be a bonus.

DUTIES

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of services including however not limited to:

- High level nursing skills to work autonomously
- Patient triage
- Administering vaccinations
- Monitoring & maintaining stock levels
- Compliance with the Department of Health & Human Services Protocols
- General administration duties
- Phlebotomy




- Providing on-site health and minor injury management services
- Emergency primary care of injured workers
- Drug & Alcohol testing, Lead level & hydration testing - training provided
- Medical screening such as preliminary observations - training provided
