Operations Associate
Remote (Australia) or Hybrid in Melbourne/Sydney | Start: ASAP
We're hiring an operations associate to join MoreGoodDays and help us scale operations. You'll be part of the team that keeps everything running smoothly and you'll have the autonomy and technical chops to build the systems that make us work better.
At MoreGoodDays, we help people with chronic pain get their lives back through psychology, movement, and pain science delivered via telehealth. We're a small, mission-driven team, and operations is the connective tissue holding us together. When clinicians can focus on patient care instead of admin, when partners get reliable reporting, when new team members ramp fast, that's you.
You'll wear many hats. One week you're redesigning clinician onboarding. The next you're operationalising a new insurance partnership. Then you're optimising scheduling to reduce admin burden. You won't hand problems off to someone else, you'll own them end-to-end, using process design, data, and technical tools to solve them.
If you're someone who thrives in variety, loves solving problems, cares about the mission, and can move fast we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do
No two weeks will look the same. Your work will span clinical operations, partner management, financial operations, and people workflows. You'll have real ownership and autonomy to identify problems and ship solutions.
Some of the things you might own:
- Redesigning clinician onboarding and building training tools
- Optimizing clinician schedules and creating tools to reduce admin and improve utilization
- Operationalizing current insurance partnerships (intake processes, reporting, escalation)
- Improving patient scheduling and booking flows
- Building data dashboards that surface operational and financial health to leadership
- Identifying bottlenecks in referral, scheduling, or care coordination and building solutions
- Creating processes, checklists, and documentation that reduce errors and improve consistency
- Building internal tools with Claude Code to automate repetitive operational work
- Supporting payroll, billing, forecasting, and partner reporting
- Training the team on new processes and tools
- Partnering with leadership and clinicians to unblock work
- Proactively spotting where we're inefficient and fixing it before it becomes a problem
You'll have real ownership, learn fast, and make an impact across clinical delivery, client experience, and how we scale. What we're looking for The core traits:
- A reliable, proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of what needs fixing
- Someone who thinks in systems: you understand how things connect, when you fix one process you think about what else breaks
- You ask good questions to understand root causes, not just symptoms
- You care deeply about making things work well, for clinicians, for clients, for the business
- You communicate clearly and confidently across the team, with clients, and with partners
Comfortable building solutions:
- You can build tools to solve problems—using Claude Code or similar to create internal tools that save time
- You're comfortable with data, spreadsheets, and databases
- You think about problems technically. How could I solve this with a tool? How could I automate this?
- You're not intimidated by learning new tools or trying something new
- You love building solutions, you don't hand problems off to someone else
Operator mentality:
- You see a problem and own it; you don't wait for permission
- You're comfortable with high autonomy; you define your own priorities
- You're okay with ambiguity and variety; you figure out what matters most
- You ship practical solutions; good enough and working beats perfect and theoretical
- You follow through; people trust what you commit to
Growth & coachability:
- You want to learn; feedback is fuel, not criticism
- You're comfortable saying "I don't know" and figuring it out
- You care about the mission (helping people with chronic pain)
- You want to grow with the company
- 1–3 years of ops, startup, or technical experience (or equivalent hustle + solid foundation)
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience building tools with Claude Code, n8n, or automation tools
- Healthcare, telehealth, or clinical exposure
- Startup or fast-paced environment experience
Why join MoreGoodDays
- Real impact: You're not just fixing processes—you're building the tools and systems that make clinicians effective and clients supported. Your work directly affects whether people get the care they need.
- High autonomy: You identify problems and own the full solution. You're not executing someone else's playbook or waiting for tech resources.
- Build things: You'll solve problems by building solutions, not handing them off. You might build a dashboard, create a tool with Claude Code, or design a new process.
- Variety: One month you're improving a partner onboarding process, next you're building a scheduling tool, next you're optimising workflows. You won't get bored.
- Mission: 1 in 5 Australians live with chronic pain—but most don't get the support they need. You're part of changing that.
- Team: Small, mission-driven, high trust. You'll work directly with clinicians, leadership, and partners.
- Growth: If you ship results and stay coachable, you grow here. Real runway for bigger ownership.
The honest truth
- Startup chaos is real. Some weeks are firefighting. You need to be comfortable with that.
- You'll learn on the job. We'll support you, but you're self-directing.
- You won't have all the answers (Neither do we!). You'll figure things out and ask for help.
- Some of your time will be on unglamorous work (reporting accuracy, compliance, financial tracking)—but it all matters.
- You'll probably try something new before you feel totally ready—and that's the point. We need someone who can move fast and iterate.
About you
- Based in Australia with the right to work
- Comfortable working remotely or hybrid in Melbourne or Sydney
- 1–3 years of operations, startup, or technical experience (or equivalent)
- Comfortable building tools to solve problems (using Claude Code or similar)
Interested? Send us a brief note about why this role appeals to you and an example of a problem you've solved operationally or technically. We care more about what you can do than where you went to school.
We're committed to building a diverse, inclusive team. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don't tick every box—if you've got gumption and the core skills, we want to hear from you.
