Powered Electrical & Data (PED) is a growing electrical contracting business servicing Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Region and the Central Coast. We deliver high-quality electrical and data services across commercial, industrial, government and residential sectors.

We're a tight-knit team and we have a strong pipeline of work, great clients and a solid reputation built over years of doing the job right. The Director focuses on bringing in work and building relationships — we need the right person to own everything behind that.

The Role

This is not a coordination job. This is an ownership role.

You will run the operational side of the business — delivery, people, systems, and continuous improvement. The Director brings the work in. You deliver it, profitably, on time, and to the standard our clients expect.

What You'll Own

Delivery & Scheduling

- Full ownership of job delivery from creation to completion in simPRO
- Labour scheduling across service and project work
- Daily communication with field technicians on scope, materials and site issues
- Liaising with builders and clients on timing, access and programme
- Managing client portals and keeping clients informed throughout

People & Subcontractors

- Day-to-day management of the field team
- Engaging, briefing and managing subcontractors
- Running toolbox talks and keeping the team across what they need to know

Commercial & Financial

- Quoting small works and managing variations end to end
- Raising purchase orders and invoices accurately and on time
- Labour forecasting and timesheet management
- Monitoring job profitability and flagging issues early
- Supplier relationships and pricing

Systems & Improvement





- Owning simPRO — job status, workflows, assets module, RCD and test tag reports
- Identifying where the business can run better and implementing the changes
- End-of-project documentation — ITPs, handover docs, red pen mark-ups
- WHS compliance — SWMS, inductions, incident reporting
- Defect and warranty management through to close-out

Who We're Looking For

- Proven experience in an electrical contracting or construction business — you understand how a trade business works from the inside
- Robust simPRO experience or equivalent field service management software
- Someone who can manage people and earn their trust
- Commercially sharp — you understand job margin, you capture variations, you don't let money walk out the door
- A self-starter who identifies problems and fixes them without being asked
- Excellent communicator — with clients, subbies, tradies and suppliers
- Calm under pressure with the ability to juggle multiple jobs and priorities without dropping the ball
