The Metropolitan Orchestra (Sydney) is recruiting a part‑time Orchestra & Operations Manager.

This role is central to delivering TMO’s performances — coordinating musicians, music, venues and production teams across our Met Concert Series, Cushion Concerts, chamber performances, TMO Junior programs and a wide range of commercial and special projects.

Role highlights:

- Coordinate musician rostering, availability and communications
- Prepare rehearsal/performance information and orchestral resources
- Liaise with venues, production teams and suppliers
- Manage operations at rehearsals and performances
- Support TMO Junior programs and TMO‑produced events
- Assist with commercial and special project logistics

What we’re looking for:

- Experience in orchestral, performing arts, event or production operations
- Ability to read music and understand orchestral instrumentation




- Solid organisational and communication skills
- Calm, practical approach in live‑performance environments
- Driver’s licence + Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)

Role details:

- Permanent part‑time
- 10 core hours/week + additional paid event hours

• $40–$45/hr + super (Live Performance Award 2020)

• Based in Balmain , with attendance at rehearsals and performances
