Richmond Before and After School Care is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced childcare educator to fulfil the role of a part-time employee to join our team, and be allocated the responsibility to be a Responsible Person.

Richmond Before & After School Care is a community based, non-profit organisation and is managed by a volunteer family committee.

Role Requirements

· Responsible for the day to day management and organisation of the childcare centre

Essential Skills and Qualifications

· 2+ years full time experience working with children, preferably in an OOSH environment

· Diploma in Out of School Hours Care or Diploma in Children’s Services

· Current first aid certificate

· Current anaphylaxis and asthma management

· Accredited Child Protection training

· Child Safety training

· Working With Children’s Check

· Assist with planning and implementing quality programs to meet the developmental needs of children in accordance with “My Time, Our Place’ Framework

· Knowledge and ability to meet Regulations and the National Quality Standards





· Ability to follow service policies and procedures

· The proven ability to communicate with and build strong relationships with children, parents, educators and the community

· Ability to coordinate and manage the day to day operations of the service

· Both a team leader and team player that is enthusiastic, committed, skilled and fun

·Punctual, honest, trustworthy and reliable

Desirable

· Lives in the Hawkesbury region and be available to work split shifts

· Experience in administration including Childcare Central and Microsoft Office software
