Hire A Hubby Ormeau & Beenleigh is looking for an experienced Painter, Plasterer and Handyperson to join our local property-maintenance team.
This is an employee position—not a subcontractor role. Full time, part-time and casual arrangements are available.
The position suits someone who can take damaged or tired areas through from repair and preparation to a clean, professional finished result.
THE WORK
Your work may include
- Interior and exterior painting
- Plasterboard repairs and replacement
- Patching holes and repairing damaged walls
- Cornice repairs and replacement
- Water-damage and stain preparation
- Sanding, sealing and undercoating
- Painting walls, ceilings, doors and trims
- Minor carpentry and general property maintenance
- No day or week is the same and their is always variety
HOW WE WORK We discuss each job, listen to your ideas and agree on the best approach. We then trust you to organise and complete the work without being micromanaged.
You’ll receive support when needed, but you must be able to assess repairs, prepare surfaces correctly, manage your time and deliver a professional result in accordance with the agreed scope, relevant standards and manufacturer requirements.
Feedback and practical suggestions from every team member are welcomed and respected.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $40–$50 per hour plus superannuation
- Pay based on qualifications, experience and demonstrated ability
- Full-time, part-time or casual employment
- Company ute supplied to full-time team members
- Work-related fuel paid for casual team members
- 4.5-day working week for full-time employees
- No weekend work
- No Brisbane travel or toll-road runs

Permanent rates include tool allowance. Casual rates include casual loading and tool allowance.
ABOUT YOU
You will need to
- Have proven painting and plaster-repair experience
- Understand preparation, product selection and finishing
- Produce clean, professional results
- Think independently and manage jobs with minimal supervision
- Communicate professionally with customers and our office
- Be reliable, punctual and organised
- Respect customers and leave worksites clean
- Hold a current driver licence and construction White Card
- Hold or be able to obtain a Blue Card before commencing
- Complete a satisfactory police check before commencing
