We're excited to welcome a Patient Option Liaison Officer to our Revenue Services team.

Key Responsibilities include:

Identifying and discussing with privately insured patients of the benefits of choosing to be admitted as a private patient. Arrange the completion and signing of the necessary Health Fund and Medicare claim forms. Liaise with clinical staff and admission staff to convey client's choice.

Liaise with patients and/or representatives of patients and their private health funds to ensure adequate insurance cover for individual services received and ensure smooth billing processes, providing ongoing support between the patient and the private health fund to attain resolution to any problems arising.

Take a leading role in identifying and developing opportunities for the generation of revenue and to investigate and formalise new revenue raising initiatives within the service in accordance with Queensland Health financial policies and procedures.

Demonstrated high level knowledge of OSR inpatient election processes, systems and associated legislative frameworks, policies and financial management practices within the health sector environment and the ability in applying such knowledge.

Remuneration value up to $48 449 p.a, comprising salary rates $48.60 - $53.54 p.h.,



employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4) (Part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f.) . Applications will remain current for 12 months.
