Parks and Wildlife Operations is seeking motivated Wildlife Rangers to support saltwater crocodile management and public safety programs across the Territory.
The role involves field and vessel operations, wildlife handling, compliance support under the Territory Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act 1976, public education, and general program administration. Work is undertaken in remote environments as part of a highly skilled team.
Essential requirements include:
- Experience in wildlife management and/or a relevant Australian qualification
- Practical animal handling skills (crocodile experience desirable)
- Ability to operate vehicles and vessels in remote conditions
- Strong teamwork, communication and reporting skills
- Positive physical fitness
- NT C Class manual driver’s licence and First Aid (or ability to obtain)
Desirable: Coxswain Grade 2, firearms licence, Cert IV Government Investigations.
