We are currently looking for a reliable, physically capable and hardworking General Storeperson to join our warehouse team in Tullamarine.
This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, from receiving and storing incoming goods through to picking, packing and dispatching customer orders.
What you'll be doing:
- Receiving and unloading goods from trucks, containers and couriers
- Checking quantities, product condition and delivery documentation
- Unpacking, sorting and organising incoming stock
- Picking and preparing customer and internal orders
- Packing products securely for dispatch
- Loading vehicles and assisting with freight preparation
- Moving and storing stock throughout the warehouse
- Assisting with stock counts and inventory checks
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and well organised
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment where authorised
- Identifying and reporting damaged stock or warehouse hazards
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
About you
We don't expect you to know everything on day one, but you will need a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and the ability to work safely in a busy warehouse environment.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy lifting
- Safety-conscious with a good understanding of manual handling
- Practical and willing to get involved
- Accurate and attentive when handling stock and orders
- Organised and able to work at a consistent pace
- Comfortable following processes and instructions
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Careful when handling products and equipment
- Positive, dependable and willing to learn
Previous warehouse, storeperson, logistics or manual-handling experience is preferred.
A current forklift licence would be highly regarded, as would experience with pallet jacks, warehouse systems, receiving/dispatch or heavy and bulky products.
