6.Refrigeration technician

Salary: $80,000 to $110,000 per annum

Full-time position

Summary:

1. To repair, service and install refrigeration and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial applications, and some minor domestic applications
2. Problem solving, diagnosis and fault-finding of refrigeration, air-conditioning and associated electrical system issues
3. Provide assistance to Contracts Department to complete commercial air-conditioning installation as required.

Duties:

1. Carry out periodic service work and repair & maintenance on all types of AC systems.
2. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair & maintain refrigeration equipment and perform preventive maintenance to increase asset life of any HVAC system.
3. Installation of new and repaired components on air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
4. Testing and adjustment of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
5. Decommissioning, disposal, replacement and overhaul of AC and HVAC systems and components.
6. Perform pre-start checks of plant & equipment.
7. Install and commissioning of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
8. Installs components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, copper lines, refrigerant, compressed air, fuel, oil and chilled water.
9. Establishes job requirements from drawings & specifications and lays out installation reference points.
10. Drills holes, install mounting brackets and cuts, bends and threads piping.
11. Bolts, solders, rivets, welds or brazes pipes to connect equipment, and checks alignment and accuracy of fit.
12. Fills systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks.
13. Remove/test gas or fluid using vacuum pumps and charge with refrigerant compliant to ARCtick requirement.
14. Test & operates refrigeration systems, checks mechanisms and makes adjustments.
15. Recovery of Refrigerants in line with current ARCtick legislations.
16. Checks and overhauls refrigeration systems, diagnoses faults and repairs or replaces defective components.
17. Adjusts system controls and mechanisms and reassembles systems.
18. Records cause of malfunctioning and action taken, via service vouchers.
19. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring and equipment associated with HVAC industry, using hand tools and power tools.
20. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
21. Ability to supervise and train trade apprentices. Experience working in high pressure workplaces and to tight deadlines.
22. Prepare and complete all paperwork & documentation, timesheets, etc as required by Service Coordinator or other administration staff in a timely manner.
23. Co-ordinates with Service Coordinator/Project Manager on works for the next day.
24. Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, clients, sub-contractors and suppliers.
25. Any other duties within the skill and scope of the position, as directed.

Skills and experience required

1.



Formal trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning and all associated licenses including restricted licenses.
2. Fault-finding and diagnosis across refrigeration and HVAC systems using test equipment and hand tools
3. Attention to detail
4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
5. Experience supervising and training apprentices preferred
6. Experience working in high pressure workplaces and to tight deadlines.
7. Accurate completion of job documentation
8. Capacity to work independently and manage own workload under time pressure
9. Commercial/industrial site experience preferred

7. Airconditioning and mechanical services plumber

Salary: $85,000 to $110,000 per annum

Full-time position

Duties:

1. Study drawing and specification to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
2. Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, gas, and sanitary fixtures across university buildings and facilities.
3. Diagnose and repair plumbing faults including leaks, blockages, failed fixtures, pumps, valves, and pipework.
4. Install and repair copper, PVC, PEX, and other plumbing pipework for potable water, hot water, recycled water, and drainage systems.
5. Service and maintain plumbing infrastructure including toilets, taps, urinals, drinking fountains, dishwashers, and hot water systems.
6. Respond to reactive maintenance requests and plumbing emergencies across campus buildings.
7. Carry out preventative maintenance on plumbing systems to minimise failures and disruptions.
8. Assist with minor installation works, refurbishments, and upgrades of plumbing fixtures and infrastructure.
9. Coordinate work with facilities staff, contractors, project managers, and university departments when required.
10. Organise materials, tools, and equipment required to complete assigned work tasks.
11. Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant Australian Standards, plumbing regulations, and university procedures.
12. Follow university sustainability and waste management policies and promote environmentally responsible practices.
13. Complete all work safely to prevent injury or risk to staff, students, contractors, and visitors.
14. Complete job reports, maintenance logs, and electronic work orders accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
15. Maintain skilled working relationships with university staff, contractors, and facility users.
16. Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
17. Carry out manual handling tasks including climbing ladders and lifting tools or equipment where required.
18. Undertake other maintenance duties as required within the facilities maintenance team.
19. Handles the installation,



upkeep, and fixing of pipes, ducts, and equipment that support heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in buildings.

Key measures

1. Timely completion of maintenance requests and plumbing works within allocated timeframes.
2. Quality of work and compliance with plumbing standards and safety procedures.
3. Accuracy and completion of maintenance reports and job documentation.
4. Positive feedback from university staff, facilities management, and building occupants.
5. Reduction in repeat maintenance issues and call-backs.
6. Attendance, reliability, and teamwork within the maintenance department.

Skills and experience required

1. Relevant plumbing trade qualification and current plumbing licence.
2. Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or institutional environments (preferred).
3. Ability to read plumbing drawings, maintenance manuals, and building plans.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Clear communication and ability to work with staff, contractors, and the public.
6. Ability to prioritise maintenance tasks across a large campus setting.
7. Maintenance of professional image and good interpersonal skills
8. A valid driver license

8. Storeperson

Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 per annum

Full-time position

Purpose:

Co Ordinate Warehouse and general operations within the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure timely receipt and delivery of inward and outward goods.
2. Pick up or delivery of goods, materials and equipment to clients, project sites, etc
3. Assist with the management of technician company vehicles and equipment.
4. Ensure that adequate amounts of materials kept in stock are maintained.
5. Ensure forklift and lifting apparatus is maintained in accordance with current standards.
6. Apply and support Quality and Occupational Health and Safety initiatives.
7. Maintain general ordering and stocking.
8. Maintain fleet card, etags, trailers, spare vehicles and general vehicle related activities as required.
9. Monitor and gather information on outstanding cylinders from suppliers
10. Ensure all specialised equipment is calibrated and certification made readily available
11. Organise Service and Repairs to Airmaster assets and tools as required
12. Ensure Tools, and Specialised equipment is stored in their dedicated areas, kept secure and in working order at all times
13. Ensure all tools and office equipment with electrical cords are tested and tagged as per Airmaster requirements
14. Store deliveries in allocated bays for collection
15. Assist with workshop tasks as required
16. Assist with WHS duties and compliance as required

Skills and experience required

1. Safe and secure storage of tools and equipment in dedicated areas
2. Prior experience in a warehouse and store
3. Assisting the management of company goods, materials and equipment for technicians, clients and project sites
4. Attention to detail
5. Ability to coordinate pick-up and delivery of goods and materials, maintaining inventory levels and organising storages of goods, materials and equipment
