Established in 1890, Kingswood College is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 College where students are at the heart of everything we do. Our values of Respect, Courage, Kindness, Perseverance and Excellence shape our culture and guide how we learn, work and grow together.

Our Opportunities
As we prepare for the 2027 academic year, we invite expressions of interest from exceptional Secondary teachers who are inspired by academic excellence and passionate about helping students achieve solid learning outcomes.
A range of full-time and potentially part time, permanent and fixed-term opportunities, available in the following areas:
- VCE Commerce subjects, including Economics, Business Management and Legal Studies, with the ability to teach Humanities in Years 7 to 10
- French across Years 7 to 12, with a high level of French language proficiency, with the ability to teach an alternative method i.e. Humanities or EAL

The Role
Our Secondary teachers inspire, challenge and support students to achieve their personal best. They create exemplary learning experiences and contribute actively to a positive, high performing and values led culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high quality and engaging teaching that supports strong student learning outcomes
- Planning rigorous and appropriately differentiated learning programs that challenge and extend students across a range of abilities
- Using assessment evidence and timely feedback to monitor progress and inform teaching practice
- Maintaining high expectations for student effort, engagement, behaviour and achievement
- Creating positive, orderly and inclusive classroom environments that enable students to learn
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of contemporary and evidence informed teaching practices
- Using learning technologies purposefully to enhance teaching and learning
- Critically reflecting on practice and actively seeking opportunities for continued improvement
- Building constructive relationships with students, colleagues and families
- Contributing enthusiastically to the broader life of the College, including its co-curricular programs and events
- Modelling the College’s vision and values and contributing positively to our community
About You
Successful applicants will:
- Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
- Hold a Bachelor of Education or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Be suitably qualified and experienced in their teaching methods
- Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and pedagogical expertise
- Have the ability to teach to VCE level, where relevant
- Use evidence, assessment and feedback effectively to strengthen student outcomes
- Be passionate about supporting the academic,
social and personal development of young people
- Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and relationship building skills
- Work collaboratively and contribute positively within a team
- Be reflective, receptive to feedback and committed to ongoing professional growth
- Hold current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management qualifications, or be willing to obtain them before commencing
