We are seeking a positive and driven Youth Justice Community Support Worker to join our Youth & Families team on a full-time, 12-month temporary contract. About the Role

This is a full-time temporary 12-month opportunity, with potential to become ongoing.

As the Youth Justice Community Support Worker you will:

- Provide intensive, community-based support to young people involved with the Youth Justice system
- Deliver case management including assessment, planning, intervention and review of client goals and outcomes




- Use trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches to help young people address barriers and reduce offending behaviours
- Support young people to strengthen family, community, education, training and employment connections

This role can involve emotionally demanding situations and exposure to psychological hazards, including client distress, trauma disclosures, and urgent responses. MASP prioritises staff wellbeing by providing supervision, debriefing, reflective practice, safety measures, and access to wellbeing resources. We encourage open communication—raise any concerns with your supervisor, management, or the OHS Committee as soon as possible.

Remuneration

Expected commencing salary of $82,415.00 per annum plus statutory superannuation.

Skills And Experiences

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Social Science, or a related field (minimum Diploma required)
- Demonstrated experience working with clients in a case management capacity
- Experience supporting young people and families, particularly those facing complex needs, is highly regarded
- Knowledge of adolescent development and the factors contributing to offending behaviour.




- Strong understanding of case management principles, assessment processes, and intervention strategies for vulnerable young people
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to MASP's values and client-centred approach
