Relationship Manager

About the Role

Help turn a shared passion for the Australian Museum into lasting impact. As Relationship Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of major donors, prospective supporters and foundations, connecting them with meaningful opportunities to support the Museum’s work.

You will nurture donor relationships, develop tailored proposals and grant applications, and deliver thoughtful stewardship through communications, events and impact reporting. Working with teams across the Museum, you will help secure major gifts and grow sustainable philanthropic support for the future.

Employment Status:

- Clerk Grade 7/8
- Fixed term up to 2 years
- Full-time

You will be paid a competitive total remuneration package of $132,773 - $146,972, including an annual salary of $116,981- $129,492, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading.

About you

You are an engaging communicator who can turn ambitious ideas into compelling proposals and donor stories. Collaborative, organised and thoughtful, you bring sound judgement, initiative and a genuine commitment to creating an exceptional donor experience.

To be eligible for this role at the Australian Museum,



you must hold full working rights in Australia and meet all essential requirements listed in the position description.

Knowledge and Experience

- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite products and previous use of Tessitura or similar CRM systems
- At least three years experience in a fundraising, NFP or customer service role

Essential Requirements

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in arts, science, business, communications, marketing, museum studies or event management or a related field or equivalent work experience.
