Your New Division
The Facilities Management Directorate is responsible for the planning, maintenance and management of CQU's facilities, supporting students, staff and visitors across our Rockhampton campuses. Join a skilled and supportive team committed to maintaining safe, functional and high-quality facilities.
Your New Role
As a Plumber, you will:
- Undertake plumbing maintenance, repair and installation works.
- Respond to plumbing faults and emergencies promptly.
- Diagnose issues and identify appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Carry out new plumbing installations and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards and legislative requirements.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety requirements when undertaking maintenance activities.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance teams, contractors and stakeholders.

Position Requirements
- A plumbing trade certificate with relevant post-certificate work experience.
- Current Plumbers and Drainers Licence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements and the ability to work in compliance with relevant legislation and procedures.
- Current Gas Fitter Licence (desirable).
- Current EWP and Forklift Licences (desirable).
