18-Month Federal Government Contract | VIC, NSW, ACT or QLD | Hybrid

An opportunity is available for an experienced Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Operations Team Lead to join a large Federal Government environment. You will lead a CIAM Operations team responsible for the reliability, stability and performance of a large-scale identity platform, combining hands-on CIAM knowledge with team leadership, incident management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop the CIAM Operations team.
- Manage team workloads, priorities and operational activities.
- Monitor platform performance and coordinate releases.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of complex incidents.
- Analyse logs, troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
- Improve observability, runbooks and operational processes.
- Reduce recurring incidents through automation and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver effective service outcomes.

Skills & Experience

- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), token lifecycle and identity federation.
- Understanding of authentication and authorisation flows.
- Proven experience leading and developing technical or operations teams.




- Strong workload management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience developing SOPs, runbooks and operational documentation.
- Experience supporting high-volume digital services.
- Exposure to SaaS, cloud or hybrid identity environments.
- Experience with log analytics or observability tools.
- Understanding of APIs, REST, JSON, certificates and secrets.
- Solid identity integration and troubleshooting skills.

18-month contract | Up to 37.5 hours per week | Hybrid - minimum 3 days in office

Australian Citizenship is mandatory and candidates must be able to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
