Job description:

Your Impact

As Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll provide accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis and planning support to strengthen strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across the AAP business unit. You'll support robust budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes, promote financial discipline and identify opportunities that contribute to business value.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

- Support the delivery of regional business planning, forecasting and strategic planning processes, ensuring site and functional inputs are robust, consistent and decision-ready.




- Review and challenge financial models supporting life-of-mine planning, investment evaluation and long-term value creation across the AAP portfolio.
- Analyse site and functional budgets, performance results, risks and opportunities, converting financial and operational data into clear insights, recommendations and leadership-ready commentary.
- Contribute as a key member of the Regional Planning team, supporting the Director, Finance, Regional Planning, and partnering with site and functional stakeholders to improve planning quality, strengthen financial discipline and drive continuous improvement across the AAP portfolio.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support project prioritisation, including rank and rate assessments.
- Contribute to the simplification and automation of planning and reporting processes, using data-driven tools and continuous improvement practices to reduce manual effort and improve transparency.

Prerequisites for Success in This Role
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Geology or a related discipline, or equivalent expertise and experience.
- Experience within the mining and processing industry, with a broad understanding of the operational and service functions supporting a mining business.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to identify issues, address problems and capitalise on opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, continuous improvement,



innovation and organisational change.
- Strong communication, influencing and leadership capabilities, supported by experience in safety planning and enterprise-level risk identification and mitigation.

Your Work Environment

This 12-month contract opportunity is part of Newmont's Financial Planning team and is based in Perth with flexible Monday-to-Friday hybrid working arrangements. You'll partner closely with operations, projects, consultants and corporate leadership, supporting sites across the AAP region and contributing to broader global initiatives where required.
