We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Townsville Team who can deliver high-quality tax and accounting work, confidently manage client relationships and bring sound judgement, curiosity and a solutions-focused approach to the team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

This is a hands-on senior role with genuine client and team responsibility. You will:

- Prepare and deliver high-quality, client-ready tax and accounting work across increasingly complex engagements.

- Apply your knowledge across a range of entity structures, including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.

- Work through technical matters involving areas such as Division 7A, capital gains tax, trusts, small business tax concessions, GST, fringe benefits tax and tax planning.

- Research technical issues and form considered views using relevant legislation, rulings and case law.

- Lead client planning activities and manage agreed deadlines, budgets and workplans.

- Act as a primary contact for allocated clients, respond to queries and build a strong understanding of their businesses and industries.

- Identify risks, opportunities and practical strategies that add value for clients.

- Manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

- Assist with workflow, WIP and debtor management for allocated clients.

- Delegate work appropriately and provide constructive, timely coaching and feedback to developing accountants.

- Share knowledge, contribute ideas and help continuously improve the way we work.
