Join Multiplex on the Stations Alliance South Package, part of Suburban Rail Loop East, one of Australia's largest transport infrastructure projects. Working within an integrated alliance of Multiplex, CPB Contractors and GHD, you'll help deliver three new underground stations that will transform Melbourne's transport network and create a lasting legacy for future generations.
This role will initially be based at our offices in North Melbourne and will eventually move to the construction sites: Clayton, Monash University & Cheltenham.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources & Industrial Relations Manager to join our Victoria team, working on one of Melbourne's largest infrastructure projects. Delivered under an Alliance model, this role will partner closely with project leaders to provide operational, generalist HR and IR support across a large and complex construction workforce. Reporting to the Alliance People & Capability Manager, you will lead a team of HR/IR Advisors and Coordinators and play a key role in driving positive people outcomes across the project.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders to provide practical HR and IR advice across the employee lifecycle.
- Lead and support a small team of HR/IR Advisors and Coordinators.
- Manage employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and mobilisation activities.
- Drive employee engagement, talent development and succession planning initiatives.
- Provide advice on Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs), Awards, employment legislation and company policies.
- Support industrial relations matters, including union engagement and workforce issue resolution.
- Contribute to culture, diversity, inclusion and organisational change initiatives.
- Ensure compliant,
consistent and effective people management practices across the project.
About you:
- Significant experience in a Human Resources, People & Culture or Industrial Relations role within construction, infrastructure or a similar project-based environment.
- Strong employee and industrial relations capability, including experience working with EBAs, Awards and employment legislation.
- Experience supporting large operational or construction workforces.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong coaching, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline.
