We are now looking for an experienced Survey Draftsperson to join our Perth team.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Draftsperson to work closely with our team of Cadastral Surveyors to produce high-quality drawings and plans that accurately reflect information provided.

The successful applicant will be responsible for translating field data into legally compliant cadastral plans. Your primary responsibilities will involve utilising AutoCAD and the NLR-Plan Surveyor Portal to prepare compliant and error-free plans for lodgement at Landgate.

The role will also involve translating field data into accurate and high-quality feature and as-constructed plans that comply with project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare legally compliant survey plans (Deposited Plans, Strata/Survey-Strata, and Interest Only Plans) using AutoCAD and the NLR Portal.

- Produce feature surveys, as-constructed drawings and miscellaneous drawings as requested.

- Process and present survey data in accordance with project and client requirements.

- Work closely with Surveyors to interpret survey information and resolve drafting issues.

- Review drawings for accuracy, consistency and compliance with project requirements.

- Amend and update drawings based on surveyor and client feedback.

- Assist with the preparation of plans and documentation for a variety of surveying projects.

- Maintain organised project files and drawing records.

- Contribute to improving drafting processes,



systems and workflows.

Selection Criteria

- Minimum 2 years' experience in Survey Drafting, with specialised Cadastral experience.

- Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and the Landgate NLR Portal.

- A solid understanding of cadastral surveying principles, land tenure, terminology, and plan interpretation.

- Proven ability to reduce and interpret survey field data, sketches and instructions from Surveyors.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality drawings.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Ability to adapt to client requirements and respond positively to feedback.

- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

A qualification in Drafting, Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline will be highly regarded, but is not essential where relevant industry experience can be demonstrated.
