Youth Off The Streets is a not‑for‑profit organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future. Our services include alternative high school education, crisis accommodation and housing support, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice programs, life skills and employment pathways, cultural support and community engagement.

About the Role

If you’re a Microsoft 365 and Intune administrator looking for meaningful work, modern cloud platforms and a supportive team, this role offers all three.

As our Systems Administrator, you’ll provide day‑to‑day administration and support across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams. You’ll help ensure staff have secure, reliable and modern systems that enable them to support vulnerable children and young people.

This is a mid‑level role with a salary of up to $100,000, offering strong development pathways in cloud administration, identity, endpoint management and cyber security. You’ll work closely with senior technology staff, gaining hands‑on experience that builds toward more advanced engineering responsibilities.

This position is based at our Head Office in Alexandria, with hybrid flexibility and occasional travel to other YOTS sites.

What you'll do

- Microsoft 365 administration — Manage accounts, licences, permissions and access

- Identity management — Support Entra ID, MFA, conditional access and authentication issues

- Endpoint management — Assist with Intune enrolment, deployment, configuration and compliance

- Technical support — Resolve cloud and device incidents, acting as the first point of escalation





- Security monitoring — Monitor service health, alerts and Microsoft recommendations

- Risk escalation — Escalate complex or security‑sensitive matters appropriately

- Documentation — Maintain accurate configuration and support documentation

- Continuous improvement — Identify opportunities to improve reliability, security and efficiency

- Project participation — Contribute to platform improvements and technology initiatives

What you'll bring

- Experience administering or supporting Microsoft 365 services (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender)

- Strong desktop, endpoint or service desk support capability

- Experience managing accounts, groups, licences, permissions and access

- Experience with Intune enrolment, application deployment, configuration and compliance

- Strong troubleshooting skills across Microsoft cloud services and managed endpoints

- Ability to assess technical and security risk and escalate appropriately

- Clear written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when making system changes

Desirable

- Process automation or scripting experience, particularly PowerShell

- Vulnerability remediation or security hardening

- Network infrastructure support, monitoring or system health checks

- Lifecycle management, backup, recovery or business continuity

- VoIP telephony (especially 3CX)

- Awareness of secure and responsible AI implementation

Qualifications:

- Relevant qualification, certification or demonstrated technical capability





- Microsoft fundamentals or associate‑level certification (desirable)

- ITIL Foundation (desirable)
