The Cyber Security team maintains secure, resilient platforms and tooling that protect internal systems, networks and operational environments. This role supports the day?to?day operation of core cyber security platforms and contributes to the organisation's security posture across Windows, Linux, virtualisation and containerised environments.

Job Description
We are seeking a Cyber Security Systems Administrator to administer, maintain and harden the platforms hosting cyber security capability. The role manages core security tooling, underlying infrastructure and operating systems, ensuring compliance with ISM, Essential Eight ML3 and NIST requirements. You will work across Windows, Linux, virtualisation and container platforms, supporting security investigations, operational activities and Authority to Operate processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Administer, maintain, patch and upgrade core security toolsets including vulnerability scanning, SIEM, endpoint protection, application control and privileged access management
- Administer virtualisation platforms including cluster health, capacity, VM lifecycle, storage, backup and updates
- Administer container platforms including node health, workload deployment, upgrades and registry management
- Tune and configure security tooling to balance security efficacy and system performance
- Build, harden and maintain Windows and Linux systems underpinning security tooling
- Apply OS and application hardening aligned to ISM, Essential Eight ML3 and NIST SP?80053
- Administer Privileged Access Management solutions including enrolment, roles, policies and session recording
- Enforce tiered administration and least privilege for security tool administration
- Develop configuration, hardening,



operational and as built documentation
- Provide SME input into ATO activities and security assessments
- Support security investigations and incidents including data retrieval, queries and containment actions
- Operate within formal change management processes

Education/Certifications Required

- Bachelor degree or relevant industry certifications
- Desirable certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, Security+, Microsoft or vendor certifications

Knowledge/Skills Required

- Demonstrated Windows Server and RHEL administration in a security context
- Hands on experience with tools such as Nessus, Elastic, Trellix, Airlock Digital or Teleport
- Working knowledge of Nutanix and/or OpenShift
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Puppet, Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with security frameworks including ISM, DSPF, NIST and ISO 27001
- Understanding of incident response best practices
- Desirable experience with Arista and Palo Alto Networks

Employment Requirements

- Six month probation period
- Medical, psychometric or skills testing may be required
- Must comply with company policies, security, safety and quality requirements
