About the role

Based at our community centre (Balcatta Hub or Willetton Hub), you will support the day-to-day delivery of client activities and coordinate events and outings that encourage social connection, participation and enjoyment.

This is a part-time position working three days per week.

Key responsibilities

- Support and supervise daily community centre programs, ensuring activities are welcoming, organised and responsive to clients’ interests and abilities.

- Prepare, organise and deliver special events, including cultural celebrations and themed activities.

- Plan and coordinate outings for older adults, including venues, bookings, transport arrangements and activity schedules.

- Prepare activity spaces, equipment and materials, and assist with packing up after programs and events.

- Consider clients’ mobility, accessibility and cultural needs when planning activities.

- Gather client feedback and contribute ideas to improve programs and participation.





- Maintain relevant activity records and report incidents or concerns in accordance with CWCC’s policies and procedures.

About you

You are an organised, approachable and enthusiastic person who enjoys working with older adults and people from diverse backgrounds.

You will bring:

- Experience in community activities, event support, recreation or a similar role.

- Solid organisational and time-management skills.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, clients and families.

- A caring, respectful approach and an understanding of older adults’ needs.

- Initiative, creativity and flexibility when coordinating activities and responding to changing needs.

- A commitment to client safety, dignity and inclusion.

Experience in aged care or community services, relevant qualifications, and language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese or Vietnamese would be highly regarded.
