Caloundra Power Boat Club is seeking an experienced Barista & Café Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operation of our Portside Café.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, works well under pressure and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards of coffee, food presentation and customer service.

With day shifts only, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking for a full-time role without late-night work.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of Portside Café.

- Prepare and serve consistently high-quality coffee and beverages.

- Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service.

- Lead by example and support café staff during busy service periods.

- Manage café opening, set-up and closing procedures.

- Monitor stock levels, stock rotation and assist with ordering.

- Manage POS operations, cash handling, EFTPOS transactions and daily reconciliation.

- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, food safety and hygiene.

- Prepare and present café food and cakes for sale.

- Ensure the café operates efficiently during high-volume periods.

- Promote a positive, professional and team-focused workplace.

- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety and Club policies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in hospitality, café or barista roles.





- Strong barista skills and a genuine passion for quality coffee.

- Previous experience coordinating, supervising or leading a café team.

- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy setting.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills.

- Confidence handling cash, POS systems and reconciliations.

- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.

- A positive, reliable and hands-on approach.

- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Relevant hospitality and food-handling qualifications are highly regarded.
