CELOTTI WORKFORCE is seeking experienced Civil Site Supervisors and Leading Hands for ongoing civil construction projects across Darwin and the Northern Territory.
These are excellent opportunities for experienced civil construction professionals to take on a hands-on leadership role across projects throughout Darwin and the Northern Territory. Both positions will be responsible for supporting the secure, efficient and high-quality delivery of civil construction projects.
SITE SUPERVISOR:
The successful Site Supervisor will coordinate daily site operations, lead crews and subcontractors, and work closely with project management to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily civil construction activities, site crews and subcontractors.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment to maintain project schedules.
- Conduct daily pre-start meetings, site inductions and maintain accurate site records.
- Work closely with Project Managers on construction schedules, cost control and project delivery.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, schedules and work instructions.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports.
- Lead site personnel and promote a positive, safety-focused team culture.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections, safety meetings and assist with incident investigations.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality and environmental requirements.
- Identify site issues and provide practical solutions.
- Undertake hands-on duties when required.
LEADING HAND:
The successful Leading Hand will assist with the day-to-day coordination of civil construction activities,
lead site crews and support the Site Supervisor and project team to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordinating daily civil construction activities.
- Lead and support site crews.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment as required.
- Assist with daily pre-starts, site inductions and site records.
- Monitor site activities and ensure work is completed in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Work closely with supervisors and project management to maintain project schedules.
- Assist with identifying and resolving site issues.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
- Ensure safety, quality and environmental requirements are followed.
- Maintain a positive and productive team environment.
- Undertake hands-on civil construction duties as required.
Our Ideal Candidates:
- Proven experience in civil construction.
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor or Leading Hand.
- Site Supervisor candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' civil construction experience, preferably within the Northern Territory.
- Sound knowledge of civil construction methods, plant operations and site safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules and work instructions.
- Current White Card.
- Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Practical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Reliable, accountable and willing to undertake hands-on duties.
- Ability to work in remote and challenging environments when required.
- Relevant plant tickets, First Aid and supervisory qualifications are highly regarded.
- Proven rights to work in Australia.

- Site Supervisor: $110K–$160K per annum + vehicle and fuel card.
- Leading Hand: $95K–$120K per annum + vehicle and fuel card.
