About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced procurement professional to join the Procurement team to deliver effective procurement and contract management outcomes for the NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES). This role will primarily focus on the procurement of goods and services, to support operational response requirements for our volunteer members.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure efficient procurement and administration of key procurement and contracts for the agency. Some of your key duties include providing effective support to NSW SES procurement processes, including contributing to the preparation of procurement documentation supporting tender processes and preparing request for quotes (RFQ) ensuring compliance with NSW Government legislation and procurement frameworks while delivering value for money outcomes. You will also manage supplier relationships including monitoring contract performance targets, mentoring staff, and ensuring the delivery of quality, customer-focused, timely, and accurate procurement.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in NSW Government procurement, and/or in-depth knowledge of the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework would be advantageous
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and develop productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in contract administration to ensure effective contract performance
- Effective verbal and written communication skills Be proficient in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and delivering customer service

Describe a time when you applied your knowledge of procurement legislation or policy frameworks (for example, the NSW Procurement Policy Framework or a relevant procurement scheme) to guide a purchasing decision or resolve a compliance issue. What was the situation, how did you ensure your advice was compliant and fit for purpose, and what was the outcome?
2. Describe a time when you were responsible for administration of a contract and needed to liaise between internal stakeholders and a supplier to resolve an issue or improve how the contract was operating. What was the situation, how did you manage communication between the parties, and what was the outcome?
