About the Role

This is a field-based Area Manager position where you'll take ownership of a portfolio of commercial cleaning sites across Melbourne. You'll lead cleaning teams, maintain client relationships, uphold service standards, and keep the day-to-day running smoothly.

It's a hands-on role that suits someone who thrives in the field — not behind a desk. You'll be the person clients trust and the person your team turns to. Key Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial cleaning sites

· Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits





· Ensure services meet client KPIs, scopes, and company standards

· Build and maintain strong client relationships; respond promptly to requests, feedback, and operational issues

· Recruit, induct, train, organise and support cleaning staff and subcontractors

· Coordinate new-site mobilisation and commencement

· Ensure equipment, chemicals, and consumables are stocked at each site

· Ensure WHS and company safety procedures are followed at all times

· Identify and report hazards, incidents, and operational risks

· Follow up on corrective actions from inspections and client feedback

· Maintain accurate operational records and reports

· Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client accounts

About You

You're a people leader who's comfortable in the field, confident with clients, and organised enough to juggle multiple sites without dropping the ball. You bring:

· Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities management, or a similar multi-site service environment

· A background managing cleaning teams and/or supervisors

· Strong communication skills — with both clients and frontline staff

· The ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems on the go





· A proactive, self-sufficient work style — you don't need to be micromanaged

· Good knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals

· Familiarity with WHS/OHS requirements

· Comfort using mobile apps, Microsoft Office, and basic reporting tools

· A professional, reliable, and well-presented approach to everything you do

Essential Requirements

· Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities management with supervisory or management experience

· Current Australian driver's licence

· Ability to travel between multiple sites throughout Victoria

· Strong written and verbal English communication skills
