ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities across our fleet of helicopters and aeroplanes. Reporting to the Maintenance Controller, this is a business-critical role with the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements in maintenance planning, fleet availability, and operational efficiency. Recognising the importance of this position, the role is actively supported by the CEO to ensure it has the resources, authority, and organisational backing needed to succeed. On a day to day basis the Maintenance Planner will;

- Develop maintenance planning and project management systems.

- Progressively build out planning systems and processes as the role grows.

- Develop and maintain detailed plans to maximise aircraft availability and minimise downtime.

- Prepare comprehensive project work schedules including scope, hazards, tools, labour, materials, durations, and sequencing.

- Act as the central point for emergent scopes during major maintenance, ensuring adherence to business-as-usual processes and risk mitigation.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritise work based on aircraft criticality and operational demands.

- Continuously improve planning practices to support site efficiency and safety.

- Oversee development and reporting of planning and scope documentation.





- Apply Theory of Constraints and Critical Chain Project Management to identify, manage and resolve planning bottlenecks through Full Kitting of maintenance projects, resource allocation and controlled release of work.

ABOUT YOU

- Whilst you are able to work on high level meaningful projects to create long term change you appreciate the value of the underlying detail and strive to get things right.

- As this is a new role you will be a motivated self learner who is able to develop practical, scalable and sustainable solutions to complex planning challenges.

- You have worked in dynamic environments and appreciate the value of plans and systems yet are able to think creatively and deal with change.

- You can confidently juggle changing priorities without losing track of other commitments.

- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Suite and the ability to learn operations systems for monitoring and reporting.

- Exposure in Aviation, or other regulated industry is highly advantageous.

- A background in Theory of Constrains (TOC) or Project Management desirable however if you are able to demonstrate strengths in planning and organising we can teach you the framework.
