About the role

We are seeking Trainee (not qualified) Community Care Workers to work with aged care clients across the Greater Sydney area, including:

- Inner West (Marrickville, Ashfield, Belmain, Redfern)

- St George (Hurstville, Rockdale, St George)

This role is for those WHO DON'T hold a industry recognised qualfication, who would like to be paid to study and work. The traineeship is for 12 - 15 months, where you receive training with real clients in their homes, and are paid to attend training and study days to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021) - Aged Care.

You will be hired within your local area and willing to travel up to 25 minutes to see clients.

You will be trained to deliver services to various services to clients in their homes.

Key responsibilities

- Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas)

- Bed making, room tidying up

- Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client

- Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community

- Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)

- Respite and Social Support

- Ability to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff

About you

- Have a outstanding attitude





- Be reliable and have clear communication skills

- Want to work with the elderly in their home

- Have a willingness to learn and work

- Ability to obtain and pass a clear National Police Check

- Hold a current NSW Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and have full comprehensive insurance

- Be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship

- Have regular availability, minimum 3 regular/consistent days per week (Monday to Friday)

- Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks, and pass a fitness/health assessment

- Desire to care for and help the elderly

- Hold a current First Aid & CPR certificate or be willing to obtain.

- Live within 10km of one of the mentioned regions/areas.
