Accounts Payable Team Leader

MARS Recruitment is representing an ASX-listed resources business to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their Perth CBD finance team.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys being involved in the detail of Accounts Payable while also taking ownership of the wider function, supporting the team and working with stakeholders across the business. There is plenty of scope to improve processes and make a genuine impact across the procure-to-pay function.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support the day-to-day Accounts Payable function
- Process supplier invoices, payments, expenses, and credit card reconciliations
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve invoice and payment queries
- Complete supplier and bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end activities and AP reporting
- Prepare payment times reporting and monthly AP statistics
- Monitor payment performance and maintain accurate AP records
- Identify opportunities to improve AP and procure-to-pay processes
- Support ongoing systems and process improvement initiatives

About You





We're looking for someone with solid Accounts Payable experience who is comfortable taking ownership of a function and working closely with a range of stakeholders.

You'll ideally bring:

- Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable setting
- Experience supporting or leading an AP function
- Pronto ERP experience is highly desirable
- Good understanding of the full procure-to-pay process
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- Confident communication skills and the ability to deal with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Mining, resources, construction, or other operational industry experience would be advantageous
