Skytrans Australia is an Australian airline providing regional Regular Public Transport (RPT), ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance), and Charter services, connecting communities across the country. About the Role

Reporting to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager, the Technical Services Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the Part 145 maintenance organisation, troubleshooting defects, and assessing technical data relating to all fleet defects across our Dash 8 and Airbus aircraft. The position also supports Maintenance Watch by providing technical guidance and recommending appropriate actions to ensure disrupted aircraft are safely returned to service with minimal operational impact. In addition, the Technical Services Engineer will provide coverage for the Airworthiness Engineer as required.

This is a full time position with flexible working hours, based at our Head Office located at Cairns Airport.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the continued airworthiness, compliance and reliability of the Skytrans fleet.

- Manage technical relationships with OEMs, maintenance providers and vendors.

- Assess and coordinate aircraft modifications, repairs, Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.

- Provide technical engineering support across maintenance and operational departments.

- Monitor aircraft systems,



engines and life-limited components to maintain fleet performance and regulatory compliance.

- Maintain accurate technical records, documentation and CAMO processes.

- Support airworthiness reviews, compliance activities and engineering projects.

About You

We are looking for an experienced aviation engineering professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

You will ideally have:

- Dash 8 and A320 type courses completed desirable

- Dash 8 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence desirable

- Aviation industry experience, ideally within a regional airline environment.

- Strong working knowledge of Airline Technical Programs (Aerotrac, CAMP, IAS), Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.

- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and perform under pressure in a dynamic operational environment.

- Willingness and ability to travel as required.

- Current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), or the ability to obtain one.
