Marketing & Engagement Officer

We're looking for a customer-focused and highly organised Marketing & Engagement Officer to help drive audience growth, deliver engaging programs, and support the continued success of the MECC. This role is perfect for someone who combines strong communication skills, exceptional time management, and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
About the Role
As the Marketing & Engagement Officer, you'll lead the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, audience development initiatives, education programs, and community engagement activities that connect people with live performances and the performing arts. You'll work closely with internal teams, community groups, sponsors, stakeholders, and audiences to create memorable experiences and strengthen community participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver marketing campaigns that promote the MECC entertainment season.
- Coordinate education, youth, and community engagement programs.
- Support arts and education initiatives through grants, funding opportunities, and program administration.
- Coordinate and maintain the MECC Youth Ambassador Program.
- Analyse campaign performance, audience trends, and ticket sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, community groups, and partners.
- Assist with budget monitoring and the effective delivery of marketing and engagement activities.
About You
You are a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships and creating positive experiences for customers and stakeholders alike. You can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and remain organised in a fast-paced environment.
You Will Bring:
- Experience developing and delivering marketing campaigns and engagement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A customer-focused approach and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience building effective relationships and collaborative partnerships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently manage challenges as they arise.
- The ability to analyse information and use data to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications in Marketing, Arts Management, or a related field Degree with relevant experience (preferred); or
- Associate Diploma with substantial experience; or
- Lesser formal qualifications with specialized skills sufficient to perform the duties required at this level.
- Working with Children Blue Card
- QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
