Project Supervisor – Construction Projects

About the Role
Memocorp Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to support the planning, coordination and delivery of construction and building-related projects across our property portfolio.
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and other key stakeholders, the Project Supervisor will assist in overseeing construction project activities from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, within agreed timeframes, scope and budget.
The role requires strong construction project coordination experience, contractor management skills and the ability to monitor multiple project activities while maintaining quality, safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Project Planning & Delivery
- Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of construction and building projects from commencement through to completion.
- Assist in developing construction project plans, schedules, budgets and delivery programs.
- Monitor project milestones, construction activities and deliverables to ensure works are completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budgets and timeframes.
- Coordinate day-to-day construction project activities and assist in resolving operational or delivery issues.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
Contractor & Site Coordination
- Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers engaged in construction project works.
- Assist with coordinating site activities to support the efficient sequencing and delivery of works.
- Liaise with contractors and project stakeholders regarding construction programs, access requirements, project documentation and delivery requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance and escalate project delays, quality issues or other risks where required.
Cost & Project Administration
- Assist in monitoring project expenditure against approved construction budgets.
- Review project documentation, quotations, variations and contractor submissions as required.
- Support procurement activities and coordination of contractors and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate project records, schedules, reports and supporting documentation.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Monitor construction works to ensure they are undertaken in accordance with project specifications, quality requirements and relevant standards.
- Support compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and established construction site procedures.
- Assist in identifying construction project risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
- Coordinate inspections, project documentation and completion requirements.
- Assist with project handover, defects management and close-out activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with the Senior Project Manager, internal teams, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders throughout the construction project lifecycle.
- Maintain effective communication between project stakeholders regarding progress, risks, changes and project requirements.
- Attend project and construction meetings and assist with tracking actions and agreed deliverables.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Relevant experience in construction project supervision, construction project coordination or a similar project delivery role.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating construction projects, contractors and subcontractors.
- Understanding of construction project planning, scheduling, budgeting and delivery processes.
- Experience monitoring construction works against project scope, specifications, quality standards and timelines.
- Solid organisational and project administration skills.
- Good stakeholder, contractor and supplier management skills.
- Ability to identify project risks and assist with resolving construction delivery issues.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements within a construction or building environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within project deadlines.
Relevant qualifications in construction management, project management, building, engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
