Staff Specialist in Gynaecological Oncology

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced consultant in Gynaecological Oncology to join the Hunter New England Centre for Gynaecological Cancer based at John Hunter Hospital. Working with a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide high quality specialist care for a diverse and complex patient population while contributing to teaching, research and service development within one of NSW’s largest regional health services.

About the Role
As a Staff Specialist, you will:

- Provide high-quality specialist Gynaecological Oncology services across inpatient, outpatient and consultative settings.
- Deliver contemporary, evidence based care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Undertake complex surgical and clinical management of women with gynaecological malignancies and pre-malignant conditions.
- Participate in on-call, clinical governance, quality improvement and service development activities.
- Contribute to teaching, supervision and mentoring of medical staff, students and trainees.
- Support and participate in research, innovation and academic activities within the Hunter New England Centre for Gynaecological Cancer.

About You
To be considered for this position, you will have:

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zeal

and College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists with subspecialty qualifications in Gynaecological Oncology, or overseas trained specialist pathways.

- Eligibility for Specialist registration with AHPRA. Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-quality Gynaecological Oncology services.
- Accreditation as a console surgeon on the Da Vinci Robotic Platform is desirable, but not essential.
