About the role

The work will be varied and hands-on, including servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on diesel trucks, diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, preventative maintenance to keep the fleet reliable and on the road, general truck and equipment repairs, welding, fabrication and minor body-building work where required, and working with the team to identify and address maintenance issues before they become major repairs.

Key responsibilities

- Preventative maintenance to keep the fleet reliable and on the road

- General truck and equipment repairs

- Welding, fabrication and minor body-building work where required





- Working with the team to identify and address maintenance issues before they become major repairs

About you

- Diesel mechanic / medium vehicle mechanical experience

- Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills

- Experience working on trucks and heavy vehicles

- Welding and fabrication skills would be highly regarded

- Truck body-building or modification experience would be a big advantage

- A practical, problem-solving approach

- Pride in your workmanship

- Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision
