About the role

The Audio Visual Production Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, operation, and maintenance of audio visual systems and production services across the School. The role supports curriculum delivery, whole-school events, performances, assemblies, presentations, live productions, community events, and digital communications. Working closely with staff and students, the Audio Visual Production Coordinator provides technical expertise, training, and operational support to ensure high-quality production outcomes while fostering student engagement and learning opportunities in audio visual technologies.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate and deliver audio visual support for school events, including assemblies, concerts, productions, graduation ceremonies, information evenings, sporting presentations, awards ceremonies, and community events.
- Operate and oversee sound, lighting, staging, projection, recording and live streaming.
- Develop in consultation with the coordinator of the event production schedules, technical plans, run sheets, and equipment requirements for events.
- Liaise with event organisers, teaching staff, students, and external contractors to ensure successful event delivery.
- Provide technical direction during productions and major school events.
- Operate, manage and maintain the School's audio visual infrastructure, equipment, and associated technology.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of AV equipment.
- Provide technical support to teachers delivering curriculum activities requiring audio visual equipment.




- Lead and develop the student AV team to facilitate student involvement in productions, events, and technical operations.
- Lead the technical planning, coordination and delivery of major school productions and events, ensuring professional production standards and successful event outcomes.

About you

- Qualifications and demonstrated experience in Audio Visual Production, Media Production, Technical Theatre, Event Production, or a related field.
- Qualifications or experience with lighting and audio setup and design.
- Experience operating professional audio, lighting, vision, recording, and streaming systems.
- Experience supporting events and productions in a complex workplace.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated strong organisational and project management skills.
- Willingness to work after hours and on weekends as required.
- Current Working with Children Check (NSW WWCC).
- Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR.
- Advanced-level skills using computer-based applications, including the Microsoft 365 App Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
