About the Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced philanthropy skilled to lead and shape a growing philanthropy program at a pivotal time for the organisation.

Reporting to the Fundraising & Engagement Director and working closely with the CEO, Board and senior stakeholders, you will develop and implement a long-term philanthropy strategy focused on deepening donor relationships and increasing high-value support.

You'll manage a portfolio of major donors, philanthropic trusts and foundations, and bequest prospects, creating meaningful engagement opportunities and compelling cases for support that connect donors with tangible impact.

This role offers a unique combination of strategic leadership and relationship management. You'll have the autonomy to drive growth, influence fundraising direction and help secure the resources needed to support life-changing programs across Asia and Africa.

In this role you will:

- Build and execute a multi-year philanthropy strategy spanning Major Gifts, Trusts & Foundations, Gifts in Wills and Mid-Value giving Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors, trusts and foundations, and high-value bequest prospects
- Provide strategic oversight and direction for our Gifts in Wills and Mid-Value programs, partnering closely with our Individual Giving Manager on delivery
- Partner with the CEO and Board to identify, cultivate,



solicit and steward significant gifts
- Develop compelling funding proposals, impact reports and donor communications
- Create meaningful donor engagement opportunities and stewardship journeys
- Lead and coach the Philanthropy Advisor while overseeing external grant writing support
- Monitor pipeline performance, revenue targets and fundraising outcomes
- Ensure best practice fundraising standards, compliance and donor care

About You

You are an experienced relationship fundraiser who enjoys building genuine connections and creating philanthropic partnerships that deliver meaningful impact.

You are commercially minded, strategically focused and comfortable engaging with high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, trusts and senior stakeholders.

Most importantly, you understand that successful philanthropy is built on trust, thoughtful stewardship and a clear connection between donor passion and organisational impact.

You'll bring:

- Demonstrated success in major gifts, philanthropy or development fundraising
- Experience securing and stewarding six-figure gifts
- Experience building or leading Gifts in Wills and/or Mid-Value giving programs, including pipeline development and cross-team coordination
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage confidently at executive and Board level
- Experience developing donor strategies, pipelines and fundraising plans
- Outstanding written communication skills, including proposal and case for support development
- Strong CRM and donor management experience, ideally within Raiser's Edge




- Experience leading or mentoring team members
- Alignment with the values and mission of Jesuit Mission

We’d love you to have:

- Fundraising experience within international development, education, health or community services
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in fundraising, communications, marketing or a related discipline
- FIA membership
